1. Who we are
Stillwall is provided by Xiamen Yiling Information Technology Co., Ltd. (“Yiling Labs”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Yiling Labs is our public name; the company name above is our legal entity.

2. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you:
- Use the Stillwall app on iPhone or iPad
- Use Stillwall’s Safari Content Blockers and Safari Web Extension
- Visit our websites (including yilinglabs.com)
- Contact us for support or privacy requests
Stillwall blocks ads, trackers, and annoyances in Safari only. It is not a VPN and does not route your general internet traffic through our servers. It does not block ads inside other apps.
3. Our privacy principles
We design Stillwall to collect as little information as possible while still providing the product:
- No product account. You don’t create a Stillwall login.
- No browsing-history product. We do not build a list of websites you visit for analytics, advertising, or profiling.
- On-device first. Protection settings and site pause decisions stay on your device unless you choose to send us something (for example support email).
- Transparent third parties. Apple handles subscriptions and app distribution. Hosting providers may process technical logs when you visit our website.
4. Information we process
“Personal data” means information relating to an identified or identifiable person (including definitions under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR). As an organisation we aim to collect only what is needed to provide Stillwall and support you.
4.1 Data we do not collect in the app
- Browsing history or a list of websites you visit in Safari
- Full page URLs as a continuous stream or tracking log
- A Stillwall user account, profile, or password
- Advertising identifiers for third-party ads in our app
- Third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs in the current version
- Sensitive categories of data (for example health, race, or religion) as a product feature
4.2 Data stored on your device
Stillwall stores preferences and feature data on your device (including, where applicable, an App Group shared with the Safari extensions), for example:
- Category toggles (Ads, Privacy, Annoyances, Regional rules, and Pro tools such as YouTube & X and Battery Boost)
- Pro entitlement state as reported by Apple’s StoreKit
- Site pause / resume decisions made in the Safari extension
We do not use this on-device data to build a cross-site advertising profile. Deleting the app removes Stillwall’s on-device data (subject to any device backups you control).
4.3 How Safari blocking works (important)
Stillwall uses Apple’s Safari extension model:
- Content Blockers. Stillwall provides content-blocking rule lists to Safari (multiple Stillwall Content Blockers plus related configuration). Safari applies those rules. This model does not give Stillwall access to the contents of web pages you visit or a feed of every URL you open while content blocking is installed.
- Web Extension. Optional features—such as pause/resume on the current site, Report issue, and certain Pro tools (for example enhanced blocking for YouTube and X in Safari)— run as a Safari Web Extension. Those features may process information about the current site or page in Safari on your device so the feature can work. That processing is for providing the feature locally. We do not upload your browsing history.
4.4 Network requests made by the app
Stillwall may contact the network to:
- Download updated filter lists and configuration needed for blocking (HTTPS)
- Receive app and extension updates through Apple’s systems
- Send information you choose to submit (for example Feedback or Report issue)
These connections use standard internet protocols. Like most online services, technical metadata such as IP address, time, and basic device/network headers may be processed by servers or content-delivery infrastructure to deliver the download or message— not to reconstruct your browsing history.
4.5 Purchases and subscriptions (Apple)
If you start a free trial or subscribe to Stillwall Pro, payment and subscription status are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. We receive limited subscription status information necessary to unlock Pro features (via StoreKit / Apple’s APIs). We do not receive your full payment card number.
Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device.
4.6 Feedback and support you choose to send
If you use in-app Feedback, Report issue, or email us, you may provide:
- A description of the problem or question
- An optional website domain you attach
- Device, OS, and app version context needed to understand the report
- Your email address (if you contact us by email)
We use this information only to respond to you, troubleshoot, and improve blocking quality. It is not used to track you across apps and websites for advertising. Please do not include passwords or other sensitive data you do not want to send.
4.7 Apple App Analytics (system, optional)
While you use Stillwall, iOS may record App Analytics that can be available to us in App Store Connect if you have opted in to share analytics with app developers. This is controlled by Apple and can be disabled in your device settings (see Apple’s guidance). This is not a third-party analytics SDK embedded by Stillwall.
4.8 Our website
When you visit our websites (including yilinglabs.com), our hosting and security providers (for example Cloudflare) may process technical information such as:
- IP address
- Browser user agent and approximate device/OS signals
- Approximate country or region of the request
- Requested URL/path, referrer, and timestamps
We use this information for security, reliability, abuse prevention, and basic operational metrics— not to track your Safari browsing inside the Stillwall app.
5. How we use information
We use the limited information described above to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Stillwall’s blocking and on-device features
- Deliver filter-list updates
- Process Pro entitlement via Apple
- Respond to support and privacy requests
- Secure our services and prevent abuse
- Comply with law and enforce our terms where applicable
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your browsing activity to build advertising profiles.
6. Legal bases (EEA / UK and similar regimes)
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on:
- Contract / steps prior to contract — to provide Stillwall and related support you request
- Legitimate interests — to secure and improve the service, prevent abuse, and operate our website, balanced against your rights
- Consent — where required (for example optional system analytics controlled by Apple, or if we later ask for optional permissions)
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information under applicable law
7. Sharing and third parties
We share information only as needed to operate Stillwall:
| Party | Role |
|---|---|
| Apple Inc. | App distribution, In-App Purchases / StoreKit, optional App Analytics if you opt in |
| Hosting / CDN providers (e.g. Cloudflare) | Website hosting, security, delivery of web pages; may process technical request logs |
| Filter-list / content-delivery infrastructure | Delivering blocking rule updates over HTTPS |
| Authorities | Where required or authorised by law |
Service providers process information on our instructions or under their own privacy terms when they act as independent controllers (for example Apple for payments). We require appropriate protections for processors we engage.
8. International transfers
We are established in China. If you use Stillwall or contact us from another country (including the EEA, UK, United States, Australia, and elsewhere), information you send us—or technical logs from our website—may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards under applicable law.
9. Retention
- On-device settings and rules — until you change them, delete the app, or reset device data
- Support / feedback messages — as long as needed to handle your request, improve blocking quality, and meet legal obligations; then deleted or anonymised
- Website technical logs — retained for a limited operational period consistent with security and hosting practice
- Subscription records — as reflected by Apple’s systems for the life of the subscription relationship
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your choices and rights
11.1 In the product
- Turn off category switches in the app (for example Ads or Annoyances)
- Pause a site in the Safari extension
- Cancel Stillwall Pro in Apple ID Subscriptions
- Delete the app to remove on-device Stillwall data (subject to your backups)
- Disable sharing of App Analytics with developers in iOS Settings (Apple system setting)
11.2 Privacy rights (EEA, UK, and similar)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights regarding data we hold (for example support emails), contact privacy@yilinglabs.com. We may need to verify your request. Because Stillwall does not maintain a browsing-history account, much of the product’s state exists only on your device.
11.3 California and similar US state laws
We do not sell personal information. If you are a consumer under applicable US state privacy laws, you may have rights to know, delete, or correct certain personal information we hold, and to non-discrimination for exercising those rights. Contact privacy@yilinglabs.com.
11.4 Australia
We aim to handle personal information in a way that is open, limited to what is reasonably necessary, and secure. If you have a privacy complaint, contact us first at privacy@yilinglabs.com. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
12. Children
Stillwall is not directed at children under 13, and it is not enrolled as a Kids Category app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact privacy@yilinglabs.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
13. App Store privacy labels
Apple requires developers to provide privacy “nutrition labels” in App Store Connect. Those labels describe data linked to you or used to track you, based on Apple’s definitions. This Privacy Policy is the detailed description of our practices. If labels and this policy ever appear to conflict, please contact us—we intend them to be consistent.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes will be highlighted on this page or in the app when appropriate. Continued use of Stillwall after an update means you accept the revised policy, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
